Consultative Workshop on Review & Revision of Education Code Held at ESEF, KP

A consultative workshop on the Review and Revision of the Education Code was convened at the Committee Room of the Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The session was chaired by Mr. Masood Ahmad, Special Secretary (Development), Elementary & Secondary Education Department (ESED), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was attended by key officials including Mr. Qaisar Alam, Managing Director, ESEF; Mr. Muhammad Zaheer, Additional Secretary, ESED; and Mr. Ghulam Mustafa, Member Board of Directors (BoD), ESEF.Representatives from major education-related institutions also participated, including KP-PSRA, MAEF, EMA, PITE, DPD, BISE Peshawar, BISE Kohat, DCTE Abbottabad, KPTBB, BISE D.I. Khan, BISE Malakand, and BISE Mardan, along with education experts and other stakeholders.Participants reviewed existing provisions of the Education Code and discussed proposed revisions in light of the evolving needs of the education sector in the province. The discussions focused on practical recommendations to enhance the relevance, inclusivity, and effectiveness of the code.The workshop concluded with a collective commitment to continue a collaborative review process aimed at strengthening the Education Code, with a focus on improving transparency, accountability, and the overall quality of education across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
