**Committee Meeting on Implementation of Regional Languages in KP – ESEF

A meeting of the Committee on the implementation of regional languages was held today in the Committee Room of ESEF, chaired by Mr. Muhammad Khalid, Secretary, Elementary and Secondary Education Department (ESED), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting was attended by Mr. Qaisar Alam, Managing Director, ESEF KP; Mr. Abid Ullah Kaka Khel, Chairman, Textbook Board Peshawar; Mr. Javed Iqbal Iqbal, Managing Director, KP-PSRA; Mr. Habib Ur Rehman, Director Program, ESEF KP; Mr. Muhammad Ashfaq; Mr. Sajjad Akhtar Iqbal; Mr. Abrar Khan; Mr. Zahid Ullah; Ms. Shahida Naseem (Seraiki expert); Mr. Syed Mazhar Ali Tabish (Seraiki expert); Mr. M. Ramzan Kawish (Seraiki expert); Mr. Ali Ahmad Bazmi (Kuwar/Chitrali expert); Mr. Mohsin Hassan (Kuwar/Chitrali expert); Professor Khalid Sohail Malik (Hindko expert); Dr. Abseen Yousafzai (Pashto expert); Dr. Tariq Mahmood Danish (Pashto expert); Professor Shagufta (Pashto); and Ms. Nighat Seema. The participants discussed the development and standardization of curricula, preparation of textbooks and learning materials, teacher training and capacity-building initiatives, and a phased implementation plan across districts. Emphasis was also placed on inter-institutional coordination, resource allocation, and effective monitoring mechanisms. The committee agreed to expedite implementation through coordinated efforts and periodic review meetings.
