37th Meeting of the Board of Directors of ESEF

The 37th Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF) was convened on 8 January 2026 at the ESEF Head Office, Peshawar, under the esteemed chairmanship of Mr. Arshad Ayub Khan, Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the meeting, Mr. Qaisar Alam, Managing Director ESEF, presented a comprehensive agenda and briefed the Board on progress made against the decisions of the 36th Board meeting, including key institutional reforms such as the establishment of a Digital Solutions Hub at ESEF, advancement towards ISO certifications, the development of a QR code–supported WhatsApp complaint mechanism for facilitators, and the implementation of wall-to-wall digital systems to enhance transparency and efficiency. The Board was further apprised of ESEF’s active collaboration with UNICEF, Dopasi, and JICA to strengthen non-formal education service delivery across the province, as well as upcoming initiatives including the establishment of an AI Data Centre and a Virtual School Initiative aimed at improving learning outcomes for children. The Chair commended ESEF for its innovative and forward-looking initiatives, underscored the importance of transparency across all systems, and emphasized the adoption of ESEF’s best practices across other units of the department to further improve governance, operations, and service delivery.
