Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education Department, Faisal Khan Taraki visited ESEF Head Office on April 9, 2025.

Honourable Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education Department, Faisal Khan Taraki visited ESEF Head Office on April 9, 2025 and held meeting with The Managing Director - ESEF - Mr. Khawaja Faheem Sajjad.The meeting was also attended by Directors, Deputy Directors and other staff.The MD ESEF gave briefing to the Honourable Minister on following key discussion points.𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓:The MD ESEF along with Director Program ESEF briefed the Honourable Minister about the steps taken by ESEF under the leadership of the Honourable Minister in increasing enrollment of Out Of School Children ( OOSC ) in KP in current " Enrollment Campaign 2025 " by formulating a full-fledge " Enrollment Strategy " by involvement of stakeholders from Districts , Community and Electronic & Social media based on actual data analysis.The Honourable Minister appreciated the efforts of ESEF regarding increase in enrollment.𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬/𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐂𝐒 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬:The MD ESEF briefed the Honourable Minister that salaries/Honorarium for all GCS teachers up to January 2025 have been paid and further stated that the liabilities of only 02 months will also be cleared soon as release of funds is expected within couple of days.The MD ESEF thanked the Honourable Minister by mentioning that honorarium for GCS teachers has been increased from PKR 21,000 to PKR 36,000, effective from 1st April 2025 marking a significant success in fulfilling teachers long-awaited demand which happened due to able leadership of Honourable Minister for E&SE Dept. 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐒/𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐃 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬:Some teachers' salaries, which were overdue by more than three years, have been paid, while others are awaited due to pending release of funds which is conditional with PC-1 approval and budget release being an ADP scheme and that break-through is also shortly expected.𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐒𝐈 & 𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬:The MD stated that more than 90% of pending liabilities of Education Support Scheme (ESS) and New School Initiative (NSI) partners have been cleared after fulfilling the mandatory procedures and scrutiny.The Honourable Minister for E&SE Department concluded the visit by showing satisfaction on over all efforts of ESEF in promotion of Education in KP and in minimizing Out Of School Children and ensured his full co-operation and support in handling such magnanimous challenge and the MD ESEF thanked the Honourable Minister for visiting , encouraging and guiding the Foundation for further improvement.
