ESEF in Collaboration with JICA,(AQAL-II)..

The Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF) in collaboration with JICA, Advancing Quality Alternative Learning (AQAL-II) Project organized 3rd NFE/ALP Technical Committee meeting and launching of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa NFE Data Score Card, 2022-23. The meeting was jointly chaired by MD-ESEF ( Khawaja Faheem Sajjad ) and DG-PIE (Mr.Shahid Soroya) and attended by the representatives of E&SED, UNHCR,ALP-PIU, NCHD, IDEA, Relief International, WEO, SRSP and Khwendo Kor. While welcoming the participants , MD-ESEF emphasized on the importance of the forum and importance of data sharing and data analysis regarding "Out Of School Children (OOSC)" in informed decision-making by implementation of NFE programs. He also assured the support of ESEF in facilitating NFE stakeholders in efforts to reduce the number of OOSC in the province of KP. He also thanked Mr. Shahid Soroya, Director General , Pakistan Institute of Education, (PIE) for his professional contribution and honouring the forum as Chief Guest. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa NFE Data Score Card was formally launched.Mr. Habib ur Rehman, (Director Programs) ESEF, while sharing the objectives ; emphasized on the NFE/ALP stakeholders to adopt all the material developed by ESEF in collaboration with JICA-AQAL and E&SED ,in letter and spirit. Muhammad Asif Kasi, Provincial Coordinator JICA-AQAL gave a detailed presentation on NFE assessment and certification mechanism, which has been recently notified by E&SED. Mr. Shahid Soroya ,(DG- PIE) thanked MD-ESEF for organizing the event and shared his experience of "Zero Out Of School children Drive" of PIE in Islamabad and Quetta and urged all the participants to raise their voices in advocating for resource mobilization to cater the educational need of OOSC in the province and in the country at large. In his concluding remarks, MD-ESEF thanked DG PIE and all the participants for the participation to address the challenges of "Out Of School Children" in KP.
