CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR EDUCATION ..

As per directions of Managing Director, Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF) the International Day for Education was celebrated with great zeal accross the province. To commemorate the day, besides other events, a lecture discussion on the topic of *"Importance of education in effective use of artificial intelligence, preserving human capacity in a world of automation"* was arranged at ESEF head office in Peshawar. *Prof Dr. Fazal ur Rehman Quraishi* of Qurtuba University Peshawar delivered the insights regarding importance, challenges and way forward in use of AI in education.He co-related and linked AI with Pakistani society in terms with quality of education.The guest speaker threw light on how to adopt the new development in technologies and warned that if we as nation do not plan to adopt the development ; we will be further thrown backward.He appreciared the efforts of ESEF under the able leadership of Mr.Khawaja Faheem Sajjad ( Managing Director - ESEF ) in adopting accessable and affordable interventions , especially, the steps towards online learning initiatives (like POHA) to reach out the OOSC in the province. Earlier to the key note by the guest speaker, one of the Directors of the Foundation , threw light on the importance of the day and elaborated that how ESEF put hands together to address the challenges of access and quality of education in the province. The event was attended by entire ESEF staff at head office including the directors, deputy and assistant directors and other officials of ESEF. The event was concluded with note of thanks by Ms. Benish Gandapur (Director - Monitoring - ESEF).
